I am driving the McLaren F1 at the Top Gear Test Track on Forza Motorsport 4. Like the Bugatti Veyron, the McLaren F1 is definitely one of the world's fastest exotic cars ever made. This car is built without compromise. It has a top speed of 240mph and it costs half-a-million pounds when it came out in 1993. The engine bay is lined with gold because it provides more heat insulation needed for the carbon fiber body panels and monocoque. A bespoke 6-speed manual transmission was made by McLaren because no existing gearbox can survive the torque of the 6.1L engine created by BMW's M division. Unlike the Veyron, the McLaren F1 has no turbochargers, no ABS, no traction control, and that's it. The creator of the McLaren F1, Gordon Murray, wanted to make this as the greatest driving machine, the same way as the Bugatti Veyron. Changing gear is just like reloading a bolt-action rifle and what amazed is when the driver's seat is set at the middle for the racing-car feel. Of course, it was reviewed in "old" Top Gear, when Timothy "Tiff" Needell test drives the McLaren F1 pre-production model round the Millbrook Proving Ground in Bedfordshire. Later on, on the Series 13 of Top Gear, the McLaren F1 faced-off against the Bugatti Veyron in Abu Dhabi. Although the McLaren F1 has the best 0-60 time, the Bugatti Veyron excels in flat-out speeds.
